INTRODUCTION

Founded with the objective of providing specialised guarding services for all types of security implementations, we at My Own Security are confident that we can provide every requirement sought from a Security Service Provider, to a standard beyond the expectations of the Client, Staff, Guests and Visitors. In order to achieve this we will constantly strive to improve our operational excellence in every facet of the security services environment, which will encompass both the internal and external factors.

My Own Security cc, is a duly registered close corporation, specializing in the provision of security services. Our services that we provide and market to clients and potential clients include but are not restricted to:

1. Guarding services to Corporate clients, Government Departments, Executive Residential estates, Legitimate Road closures.
2. Specialist Guarding services to High Profile business persons at their residences.
3. Armed Response services.
4. Event Security services.
5. Road Closure Security.
6. Electronic Security Services (a service which we currently outsource to another professional company that adheres to the same high standards that we aspire to).

Guarding services to Corporate clients are conducted by duly registered and accredited security officers who receive specific training to ensure they can operate without continuous direct supervision, thereby providing the highest standard of service to the clients. The same principle is also applied when successful Government Department tenders have been allocated to the business. Site specific job profiles will be drafted to comply with the requirements of the client, and each security officer will receive skills training on the said job descriptions. The Residential estates and Road closures will be approached with their unique features and nuances being borne in mind, and the security officers earmarked to conduct duties and services here, will have to attend the appropriate skills training programs for providing the highest standard of service once again.

The Armed Response service is adopted and implemented by means of practical training methods, introduced to as adequately as possible prepare the Armed Response officers for the tasks of dealing with any situation. These officers are tasked to assist with additional Supervision of the sites where security officers are deployed, thereby increasing the level of service provided to the client even higher, and enhancing the visibility of the Supervisory capacity.

For the events security services to be provided, the actual event will dictate the specific type of operation to be adopted. A generalist job profile for the training of security officers will however be drafted for skills enhancement required to perform as professionals during the event. Safety and emergency procedures will be included in the skills curricula for events.
The electronics service that will be provided in the initial stages of the business trading as an entity, will be more in an advisory capacity and that any such work will be outsourced to our strategic partner with whom we have a joint venture agreement. This will allow us to save on the overheads of employing staff to conduct the services before such projects become financially sustainable for continued existence.

My Own Security have at the core of our business, what we believe to be realistic and achievable goals to be met in all facets of the operation and functioning, of the security services to be offered to our clients.

MANAGEMENT EFFICACY


My Own Security is headed by two Members supported by a Management team, composed of a highly competent, professional and efficient group of leaders. Together we are united in the perennial quest to furnish our Client’s with the best service available, as well as provide our staff with the best care and support.

The last tier of quality control mechanism is the Supervisors portrayed by entry level Managers, trained to approach their tasks with diligence, pride, expertise and conscientiousness.

Although the individuals aforementioned are rated as some of the best in the industry, we will never be too proud or hard headed not to seek advice from external experts and other sources to ensure the best service is available to our Clients at all times.

We do not conform to the “run-of-the-mill” procedures and approaches to working operations, but instead apply unique and innovative systems that are utilized in fulfilling every day tasks.

The adoption of being innovative is as a result of the fact that the Management staff literally operate as a “Team”. Thus complimenting all aspects of service provided to the Clients, as effective liaison is simplified by efficient attention being administered to specific requirements and any problems which may arise.

CLIENT INTER-ACTION


My own Security can as a result of our diverse and innovative works functioning, also communicate and liaise on every level with other service providers. By this it is to be interpreted that, we possess the skill to bring to the table the expertise, adaptability and are adept to learn from other professionals.

 Pro - Active communication between the Client and ourselves is vitally important to the implementation and ongoing success of the said contract.

 There will be regular contact between the Client’s representatives and My Own Security Management personnel at weekly and / or monthly meetings where general issues, occurrences and requirements are discussed to ensure subjects are dealt with efficiently and timeously as well as render a forum for mutual feedback.

 Monthly Reports detailing all aspects of security issues relating to your sites during each month will be submitted to the Security Manager if same is requested by the Client.

 Daily visits will be made to your Site by a supervisor and where possible contact will be made with the Site representative (for security) to assess the day to day running, and to address any minor problems which might occur.

 Weekly site visits will be conducted by your assigned Area Manager whereby a Service Call Record form will be completed and recorded in your Site File to ensure the smooth running of all security operations at your site.

IMPACT OF GUARDING SOLUTION
OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONALITY

- Basic functionality of the guarding solution is the protection and preservation of Life, Property and Assets.

- The maintenance of Law and Order.

- The prevention of Crime or Reporting of any suspected crime.

- Portraying the role of ambassador for the client, and utilising the highest level of Public Relations Skills as administered by My Own Security.

SEQUENCE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF OPERATIONAL STRATEGIES

Should the contract be awarded to My Own Security, the following sequence is to be implemented after confirmation with the Client.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS
- The detailed job descriptions for each post will be drafted in conjunction with the Client to be completed at least one month (where possible) prior to the inception of the contract.

RECRUITMENT
- Internal recruitment of staff compliment will be effected after the job descriptions have been drafted. This is to ensure that we stay committed to our policy of employing "the right person for the right job" (Previously disadvantaged Individuals will enjoy priority appointments where marginal differences in capabilities and experience exist).
Should any posts not be filled after the internal recruitment drive, only then will an external recruitment solution be sought.

TRAINING - FORMAL
- Formal training will be administered, where honing of Public Relation Skills, Observation Skills, Discipline Training, Radio Communications, Loss Prevention, and on-site documentation are the main subject content for this Phase.

TRAINING - ON SITE
- On-site training will be undertaken at least one week prior to the inception date of the contract. Included in this Phase will be the integration of the security officers and electronic security aids, and thus ensuring that effective and efficient operation thereof is achieved. This pre-contract training allows for any teething problems to be rectified before commencing on-site operations.

- The Human Resources, Area, and Operations Managers will attend to all facets of training before and after the inception date.

TRAINING - REMEDIAL
- The Area Manager, shall furthermore be available on-site for at least two weeks after the inception date of the contract. This is to allow for remedial action training and preventative training to be administered in the case of any such eventuality presenting itself, and should any minor adjustment be required.
