Our credentials

Established in 1996, Silverscreen (Pty) Ltd. originally specialised in the installation of commercial theatre seating, sourcing maximum-comfort designer chairs as supplied to upmarket venues such as Cinema Privé, Artscape and Monte Casino.


Silverscreen then became involved in all aspects of modern theatre design, building a network of leading specialists in audio-visual technologies and cinema constrution. In 2007, the company expanded its services to offer customised private cinema and home theatre design with turnkey project management.


In addition to commercial cinema design, Silverscreen has become synonymous with the provision of start-to-finish solutions for home theatres, with custom design, cutting-edge technology, expertise and service delivery combining to produce the ultimate home-movie experience.


To date, Silverscreen in collaboration with a team of cinema technology specialists has custom-designed and installed over 300 luxury home theatres, both in South Africa and abroad.
