Founded in 2005 by ex mathematics teacher and entrepreneur, Richard Harman, Durban based Qbic Toys (Pty) Ltd are the custodians of the ultimate new 3-D game of thinking fun called QbicZu. Pronounced, q-bic-zoo, the game is a three dimensional interpretation of the classic tic tac toe (noughts & crosses) with a twist which can be played on so many different levels it is bound to boggle the brain, you’ll love it!
QbicZu and all of its components are manufactured in South Africa and the company has chosen JSE listed packaging company Astapak as their manufacturer and supplier, with JJ Precision Plastics (a subsidiary company of Astrapak) as the main project coordinator.
As a consequence, quality is high, production capacity is fairly elastic to cater for both local and international demand, a fact that can be testified to by the many visitors at the QbicZu stand at the recent American International Toy Fair 2006, held in New York in February this year.
The concept of QbicZu gives rise to a game that can be described as unique, diverse and addictive that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. QbicZu has also proven to be popular across many industries including, retail toys, games, promotional gifting and specialized education (such as occupational therapy).
Qbic Toys will be introducing some exciting variations of QbicZu in the future and will continue to seek out innovative and interesting new products that have universal appeal. Our promise however is always strive to satisfy the consumer by listening to and proactively meeting the wants and needs of all buyers and distribution partners and actioning constructive feedback accordingly.
